The Book Commercial Project
Students create a 30-60 second "commercial" for a book they've read. They can film it on a tablet, perform it live, or create a poster ad. The commercial has to include: the title, one sentence about the plot (no spoilers), who they'd recommend it to, and one reason it's worth reading.
This is a book report disguised as a creative project. Students are doing synthesis, audience awareness, and persuasive communication — they just think they're making a funny video. Display the posters near the classroom library or play the videos during transitions.
