1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Wonderlit (“the Service”), operated by Wonderlit (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Wonderlit is a children’s book discovery platform that helps parents, teachers, and caregivers find age-appropriate books organized by life moments, emotional themes, and interests. The Service includes book recommendations, reading lists, reviews, and related content.

3. User Accounts

You may create an account using Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or have verifiable parental consent.

4. Child Profiles

The Service allows you to create child profiles to personalize book recommendations. Child profiles store only a first name, birth year, reading level, and interests—we do not collect photos, full names, or other identifying information about children. Only authenticated account holders can create and manage child profiles.

5. User Content

You may submit reviews, create reading lists, and contribute other content. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content within the Service. You retain ownership of your content.

Reviews are subject to moderation. We reserve the right to remove content that is offensive, misleading, or violates these Terms.

6. Affiliate Links

The Service includes links to third-party booksellers (such as Bookshop.org and Amazon). These are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission on purchases made through them. Affiliate relationships do not influence our book recommendations.

7. Intellectual Property

Book metadata, cover images, and descriptions are sourced from third-party databases and publishers and remain the property of their respective owners. Original content created by Wonderlit (including AI-generated summaries, blog posts, and curated lists) is owned by us and protected by copyright.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Scrape, crawl, or automatically access the Service beyond normal use
• Submit false or misleading reviews
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Book recommendations, age ranges, and content advisories are suggestions and should not replace parental judgment. We do not guarantee the accuracy of third-party book data.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wonderlit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of material changes via the Service.
